Nature Expeditions – Hanthana

This day will feature a 6- to 9-kilometre hike across rugged terrain. Following a briefing, you will depart from the previously designated place. The Hanthana mountain range is an excellent area to go bird watching due to its diverse bird population. You may even spot some indigenous bird species. You’ll trek through the “Upper Lance” tea estates until you reach the Hanthana Mountain Range. Once you’ve crossed the Hanthana range, you’ll find a trail leading to Kandy. Enjoy the spectacular views of Kandy Galaha and Peradeniya, as well as good birdwatching possibilities, along this walk. As you travel along the path, you’ll see the radio broadcast towers up close. You will also visit the Industry Museum whilst taking a glmse of the important monuments.
